Delicious restaurants in Nice

Exceptional restaurants I recommend for their authenticity, refined cuisine, and use of fresh, high quality ingredients.
These are places created and run by passionate people, where tradition, elegance, and genuine hospitality come together.
If you wish to experience the true spirit of Nice through unforgettable flavors, these are essential addresses not to be missed.

LES MIMOSAS DU COURS

A delightful address on the Cours Saleya, where I love to stop for a morning coffee while the market comes to life (flea market all day Monday, Vegetables and fruits market other mornings). It is also a place I often go for lunch or diner.
It offers a wonderful introduction to traditional Niçois cuisine, with the rare and much-appreciated advantage of being open continuously throughout the day. Here, you can enjoy local specialities such as pissaladière, socca, daube, and other niçoise classics, all served in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Ideally located in the heart of Old Nice, the restaurant enjoys a beautiful setting with views over the beautiful surrounding façades, glimpses of Castle Hill, and the building where painter Henri Matisse once lived. Elegantly decorated by renowned Artistic Director Lucillia Chenel, Les Mimosas du Cours is a charming and authentic address I warmly recommend.

Beautifully executed Niçois classics are prepared using fresh market produce, with meats and fish cooked with impeccable precision.
The historic setting adds to the charm, revealing ancient caves and stone walls that echo the story of the medieval city.

LA CAVE DE LA TOUR

Cherished by locals for its warmth and authenticity since 1947, La Cave de la Tour is an intimate and convivial address where tradition and generosity come together. Niçois classics are prepared following the grandmother’s cherished recipes, including what many consider the best pissaladière in town, as well as daube and traditional Niçois ravioli. The pâté en croûte is also excellent and well worth tasting.
This wine cellar both sells and serves a fine selection of local wines, alongside Provençal and Corsican references. To accompany your meal, you can enjoy the celebrated Bellet AOC wine, produced on the hills overlooking Nice.
